Campgrounds

Seattle/ Tacoma KOA

Well I guess there is no escaping the fact that Halloween was clearly upon this KOA. Seattle/Tacoma KOA was definitely in the Halloween spirit. They displayed it literally all across their property. I thought that was very thoughtful to think of the kids and families staying here.

I gave myself a tour to check out the campground. My son would have loved looking at all the decorations displayed all around. I noticed they had several banana bikes for campers staying on the property to use and ride around on. The playground was huge and welcoming.

I wish I could say everything about Seattle/ Tacoma KOA was just as decorated, but sadly not everything was. The restrooms and showers do need to be shown some love. I think I would prefer an upgrade on that than instead all the Halloween lawn decorations all over the campgrounds. I think parents would agree and prefer that instead as well.

As I continued my self-guided tour, I glanced over at the pool area. There was camper kitchen for public use of washing dishes near the restroom/shower area. Plus an area for eating outdoors.

The KOA was actually a nice and tidy campground. I felt that the landscape was also neatly groomed as well. Although, as you can tell by the pictures my Sprinter Van “Pablo” fit just right on the RV pad at the smaller site. Luckily I do not have slide outs because there is no way I could use it. I could only imagine how tight the other rigs were and the ones you see above were very close to each other. Since I was traveling alone there was no need for me to use the picnic table so the inflatable black cat had full rein to take over the table, LOL! So if you’re looking for a quick stay close to the city, this could be your best bet.

I have to say that I did not realize that the site they gave me would be so close to the busy road. As the night went on the road noise was less and I was able to get some sleep.
