One of the main advantages of having a localized Vanagon club is the ability to get in your van and meetup with fellow owners in person. In Episode 1 we travel 160 miles from Houston to Austin to do just that, meetup with other area Vanagon owners. Our go to meetup spot is Top Notch Hamburgers which is an Austin icon plus the restaurant owner is also a TexasVanagons member, he owns a 1990 Vanagon Westfalia Camper.
Top Notch Hamburgers is a 1950’s car hop that’s famous for being in the 1993 film “Dazed and Confused” which was filmed here in Austin. Top Notch hosts a number of classic car nights, hot rod nights and now of course, our TexasVanagons Meetups.
